MaxDR® - The Strength of Composite with the Easy of Poly™

MaxDR composite poly pipe from Composite Piping Technology (CPT) is the world’s first large diameter, high-pressure, fusible composite HDPE pipe, offering significant advantages in performance and value over current HDPE, fiberglass and steel pipe in a wide range of applications.

Our patented design and manufacturing process uses a cohesive fiberglass wrap with a protective HDPE protective cover to produce a thinner pipe maximizing the dimensional ratio (DR) while safely handling higher pressures.

    • Delivers 2-3x greater pressure performance compared to equivalent ID and pressure rated HDPE.
    • Available in 12” to 24” diameters.
    • Safely works with operating pressures of 350, 550 and 750 psi.
    • No-leak fused connections for a wide range of gas, liquids, and slurries including highly corrosive using standard HDPE fusing equipment.
    • Manufactured to ASTM standards applicable to traditional HDPE 4710 and FRE/GRE pipe.
    • Embedded RFID tags support better traceability.

MaxDR has the same properties as standard HDPE poly pipe, so you can use the same tools and engineering standards for design, transport, fusing and installation.

A Measurable Difference in Performance and Value™

As a lighter, less expensive pipe for the same application, MaxDR composite poly pipe delivers:

    • Lower installation costs.
    • Decreased operating costs.
    • Significantly reduced carbon intensity.
    • No leak fusion joint.
    • Improved safety profile.

A Sustainable Solution with the Lowest Total Cost of Ownership

MaxDR fusible composite poly pipe delivers several quantifiable benefits over other HDPE, fiberglass and steel pipe including:

    Lower Capital Expense

MaxDR weighs significantly less than standard poly, fiberglass or steel pipe, making it less expensive and easier to handle.

    Higher Pressure Performance

Delivers higher pressure ratings and capacity compared to equivalent ID poly.

    Faster Fusing

Fuses faster than equivalent ID/PSI poly-pipe, speeding construction and reducing installation costs.

    Retains HDPE Properties

MaxDR utilizes most HDPE 4710 pipe material characteristics.

    Lower Operating Costs

When used in place of steel pipe, no expensive cathodic protection is needed.

    No Operational Changes

Utilizes the same fusing equipment and installation procedures as traditional poly pipe.

    Improved Safety

Compared to poly pipe with the same ID, MaxDR provides a 4-to-1 safety design factor.

    Environmentally Friendly

ESG benefits including lower carbon-intensity score for pipe, installation and operations.
