A chain is only as good as its weakest link. This is the same for a pipeline. To support the operating pressure advances of MaxDR pipe, we have developed strong and adaptable fitting design for all MaxDR pressure classes. Our fittings are made in-house through hollow bar extrusion and through qualified partners who maintain fusing tables and large bandsaws to ensure accurate, tight tolerance fabrication.

Composite Piping Technology’s (CPT’s) fittings are full-pressure/full-flow mitered design with the following:
- Elbows employ a mitered design utilizing a matched internal dimension (ID) and next size DR rating. This means that we use a 14” DR 11 (MaxDR 550 psi pipe) for a 12” MaxDR 350 fitting. Slight chamfers ensure smooth transitions.
- Flange Adapters are steel encapsulated using a machined HDPE flange face fused to a MaxDR 350 pipe stub. A custom Series 150 or 300 machined steel weld-neck flange is pressed onto the pipe stub, mated against the back of the flange face and epoxy is injected into a port-hole to fill void space between the bead and the steel flange material.
